Nisa Leung is a Managing Partner of Qiming Venture Partners and leading its health care investments. Qiming Venture Partners is a leading investment firm in China which currently manages five USD funds and four RMB funds with over USD 2.7 billion in assets and investment in over 210 companies.

Prior to joining Qiming, she was co-founder of Biomedic Holdings with operations and investments in medical devices, pharmaceuticals and health care services in China including Novamed Pharmaceuticals (acquired by SciClone NASDAQ: SCLN) and U-Systems (acquired by GE Healthcare).  Nisa was Venture Partner of PacRim Ventures in Menlo Park, and was previously with Softbank/Mobius Venture Capital.

Nisa currently sits on the board of Gan & Lee Pharmaceutical, Zai Laboratories, Novast Pharmaceuticals, Nurotron, Venus MedTech, Goodwill Information Technology, dMed, LIH Rehabilitation, CanSino Biotechnology and Berry Genomics. She also oversees Qiming’s investments in Acea Biosciences, Aeonmed Medical, Alltech Medical, CITIC Pharmaceuticals (acquired by Shanghai Pharmaceutical HKSE: 02607), Crown Bioscience (GTSM: 6554), Origene Technologies (acquired by VCAN Bio SHSE: 600645), Richen, VR Medical, Wuxi Leiming, Chain Medical Labs, Suzhou Qiagen and New Horizon Bio.

Nisa earned her MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BS from Cornell University. She is currently visiting lecturer at Harvard Law School, a founding member and Vice Chair of PhIRDA (China Pharmaceutical Innovation and Research Development Association) Innovation Drug Investment Committee, member of Committee on Hong Kong Innovation and Technology (I&T) Development and Re-Industrialization, advisor of Our Hong Kong Foundation, council member of HKUST Business School and serves on the Board of Governors of the Hotchkiss School.

Jon Bond  |  CEO, Bond Ventures

Jonathan is a co-founder / partner of TTB. He has 20 years experience in the financial services industry, latterly running Bond Ventures, a Hong Kong based family office specializing in global venture and private equity investments.

Jonathan started his career at Merrill Lynch and has worked in fund management and as Partner and Managing Director at two hedge funds ranging in size from US$200-800mln. Over the last decade, Jonathan has spent his time offering strategic advice to Chinese companies, both public and private, on their overseas strategies.

He was born in Asia and has spent the majority of his life between Hong Kong, UK and the USA. Jonathan was educated at Tonbridge School, Kent and Durham University in England. He also sits on the Venture Investors Alliance of HK.

Jeffrey Cheung  |  Managing Director, CrossGate Advisors

After Jeffrey helped multinational companies to build, invest, integrate ventures in Asia, he founded Crossgate Advisors Limited and is now an active angel investor and a mentor of entrepreneurs in Hong Kong, helping startups to grow, raise funds and exit. Drawing from his investment, management experience across industries and a vast business network, Jeffrey completed consecutive assignments with various consumer-related and technology businesses in Greater China since 2004. Jeffrey volunteers for the Young Entrepreneurs Development Council and serves as judges in various business plan competitions. He is a member of the Hong Kong Venture Capitalist, Private Equity Association and sat on the Ventures committee from 2008-2013.

Jeffrey holds an MS from MIT Sloan School of Management, a BS from The Wharton School, and a BS from The Moore School of Engineering in the University of Pennsylvania. He also completed the executive education program at Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Frederick Demopoulos  |  Founder, Queen’s Road Capital

Fritz Demopoulos has been involved in a number of internet and media projects in China. He co-founded Qunar, listed on the NASDAQ exchange; Shawei, acquired by Hutchison Whampoa affiliate Tom Online; and K8 Labs. Fritz also held senior executive positions at Netease and The News Corporation. Fritz currently coordinates his investment and entrepreneurial business activities through Hong Kong-based Queen’s Road Capital. He was educated at UCLA, Karls-Ruprecht University and Cal State Fullerton.

Melissa Guzy |  Founder and Managing Partner, Arbor Ventures

Melissa Guzy is the Founder and Managing Partner of Arbor Ventures and has more than 25 years of experience as an entrepreneur in Silicon Valley and as a venture investor in Asia and Silicon Valley. Previously from 2001-2012, Melissa was a Managing Director and member of the Investment Committee at VantagePoint Capital Partners. Prior investments include Finisar (NASDAQ: FNSR), Pure Digital (acquired by Cisco), Oxford Semiconductor (acquired by PLX), iWatt (acquired by Dialogics. Melissa’s current boards include and Paidy.)

Melissa attended Wellesley College and received a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Florida. She is the author of the paper “Venture Capital Returns and Public Market Performance”. She has been a guest lecturer on the Venture Capital Industry at the University of Florida, Hong Kong University, Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Melissa is a member of the Venture Operating Committee for HKVCA, a Hopkins Fellow and participated in the Women’s Leadership Program at Harvard University.

Andrew Teoh |  Founding Managing Partner, Ameba Capital

Andrew has spent his near entire career working with entrepreneurs in the technology space as an operator, investor and adviser focusing in Greater China. He is the founding Managing Partner of Ameba Capital, and early stage technology fund focusing in China.He also co-founded Ikaria Capital Limited, a company focusing on late-stage technology investments.

Prior to founding both companies, Andrew was Vice President and Head of Corporate Finance at Alibaba Group where he built and led the Corporate Development and Corporate Finance efforts of Alibaba Group. Andrew was responsible for Alibaba’s milestone transactions including the 2005 US$1bn strategic investment by Yahoo Inc. and the acquisition of Yahoo! China; 2007 US$1.7bn IPO of; 2011 c.US$2bn investment by institutional investors in Alibaba Group and the repurchase of Alibaba’s stake from Yahoo! Inc., amongst others. At Alibaba Group, Andrew also led its treasury efforts including cash planning, investment and risk management.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales, Australia.

Denis Tse |  Managing Principal, Asia-IO Advisors

Denis Tse is the Managing Principal of Asia-IO Advisors Limited. Most recently he was the Head of Asia – Private Investment with Lockheed Martin Investment Management Company. He has 15 years of private equity direct and fund investment experience in Asia, having worked with J.H Whitney, Warburg Pincus, CDIB Capital, and HSBC Private Equity (Asia), where he became the first Kauffman Fellow from an Asian venture firm. Denis is one of Chief Investment Officer “2014 Forty Under Forty”, and was named one of “Asia’ 25 most influential people in private equity” by Asian Investor in 2013. He is the Chairperson of the Business Working Group of the Advisory Council on Innovation & Technology to the HKSAR Government. A Hong Kong native, Denis has an MBA from INSEAD and a BSc (Hon.) from Northwestern University.
